That is what Prometheus calls it and from a portal it looks like a huge blob of jelly or better yet Jello. Orange flavored Jello…
Well so much for an uneventful trip! We ran into a huge bubble of Jelly and even at the speed we were traveling, the jelly blob was so big that it stopped us just before we popped out the other side. Now I have to tell you that deceleration even inside a gigantic soft jelly bubble was not interesting or fun at all…
We all broke some bone of some type and Dogg broke three legs. Now it is not like we will not heal fast, but the simple matter was that it hurt like hell…
I am glad it was not jam with huge pieces of fruit in it. Those fruit chunks might have made a mess of Prometheus… 🙂 So jelly was better…
We are stuck fast about two kilometers from the outside surface of the jello blob. Prometheus said that we are not in any real danger, but that we can’t get out and right then I wished for a huge hungry jello eating Zombie to eat the jelly or jello for us. I wonder if it has real fruit in the jello? Prometheus told me to get some serious thought and fast because if we do not get out we might be stuck for a long time and when we do get out one day far in the future, the war will be over…
Okay, I got my serious face on and then thought what good would being serious do in this situation? We are stuck in a blob of Jello the size of 10 suns. So I thought about how my grandma use to freeze jello and it was delicious and would crack easy and then I thought about how jello would melt under heat. That is when Prometheus said, “That is it!”
I said what? Forgetting that she reads my mind all the time. She then said something like, “Freeze it and burn a hole in it with a energy beam, after it is solid and will expand and self destruct under the convolutions of conditions. She said good job…”
I said, “Okay thanks but I was just thinking about how much I love jello and there is no way that I could eat all this jello to get us out of here!” Prometheus was silent as she ignored me and went to work and the next thing I know is that she pulled the energy out of the jello in front of us and it solidified as the energy was removed, then she returned the energy plus some more and exploded a tunnel through the jello stuff and we followed the exploding jello out into open space…
Damn I am smart sometimes… 🙂
So now we are stopped dead in space, not sure exactly where we are and everyone is healing! Prometheus said we have lost about a week of time and we have to accelerate all over again. Now that I did not like and I said it is time for a meeting over all this stuff going on. I told Prometheus to get all data in order and be ready to tell us exactly where we are. I said get the information on what that jelly thing is and lets have dinner!
I am starved and I want some jello to eat… 🙂
