Vampire Zombies… (Part 2)

I decided that I would finish the story about the Vampire Zombies…

Ralph showed me the furniture store and it was perfect for what I needed. I found hardwood dowels of wood that when sharpened and flame treated they made almost like steel rods of death for a Vampire. I figured that we would have to drive them through the eye sockets of the Vampires though. From what I understand Vampires only have certain ways to be killed and being a Zombie Vampire might have messed that up even more…

I was not going to take any chances and I got the garlic, silver crosses and wooden stakes to deal with the Vampires. Then I found a 50 round, 12 gauge auto machine gun shotgun in the gun store. I found an extra drum to hold another 50 rounds of ammo and with my Chinese Broad Sword, Dogg and I decided that when it got dark we would take on the Vampire Zombies…

When dusk hit, Ralph and the town Zombies headed for home and all the doors all over town could be heard slamming shut. That left Dogg and I standing in the town square alone…

It took a few minutes and then we started to hear moans and groans of hungry Zombies. Now I did not know what to expect from a Vampire Zombie. Was it a super Zombie? Yes it was and it was very likely the fastest, toughest and deadliest Zombie we have ever met. Dogg and I were lucky that there was only 25 of them and they had no idea what I was. They had not had to deal with anything but regular Zombies. They soon found out about a human and a dog…

Dogg and I stood in the most open spot in town and waited. I could feel the eyes on us and you could hear them sniffing the air. They were trying to figure out who was standing in the town square. I decided to start with the shotgun and see how that worked. As the first one leaped off the courthouse roof at Dogg and I. I saw Dogg leap at him at the same time. Dogg transformed into a huge wolf and Dogg got his first taste of Vampire Zombie. Dogg howled as he stood on top of the Zombie and finished killing the Zombie…

The first Vampire Zombie took a lot of extra bites by Dogg/Wolf to kill, but I noticed that he did die and cease to function…

With the dying screams of the Vampire Zombie, twenty more jumped out of everywhere and attacked us. Blood was in the air and they went into a frenzy. Dogg left me and took my backside and he started killing Zombies behind me. It is called, “Got your back!” I started to unload shell after shell of the shotgun and then flipped the switch to full auto. I emptied the first drum of ammo and slapped the second drum in place just as three Zombies got within a meter from me. I heard a click of the drum and pulled the trigger as I was raising the weapon. The first two shots hit the ground, but the rest found their mark and Vampire Zombies were dropping in pieces everywhere. It was taking 4 to 5 shots to kill each Zombie and by the time I was out of ammo we still had 5 Zombies left. I heard Dogg/Wolf growl behind me and I turned real quick. There was a huge Zombie that stood at least 10 foot tall. It was pissed and it was fast. Make that 6 Zombies…

I had no shells for the shot gun and I tossed it aside. I pulled my sword and stood ready to fight. I told Dogg to take the 5 normal Vampire Zombies and I waited for the huge Vampire Zombie to attack. Dogg turned and took care of business behind me and I stood staring at the huge Zombie in front of me. I did not have to wait long, the Zombie moved so fast that I hardly had blinked and he had me knocked to the ground. But while I was going to the ground, he did not realize that I go fighting and I ran my sword through his chest. But that succeeded in pissing him off. Since the sword was not wood his body healed around the blade and as he stood up my blade went with him. Healed into his body very solid like. Even the hilt had entered his body and that sword was not coming out easily…

He grabbed the hilt that was sticking out and tried to remove it and screamed the whole time. That gave me the few seconds that I needed and I grabbed two hardened wooden stakes and as he turned his back to me screaming at the sword stuck in his body. I leaped on his back. The first stake I embedded in his shoulder and I saw the instant effect of the wound not able to heal. The wood worked…

Now he was pissed and all hell broke loose as he tried to dislodge me from his back. I brought my right hand down on his head with the second stake and drove the point about an inch into his skull. But it was just too tough to drive any farther. It was not enough to kill him, but it was enough to make him go berserk and he smashed me with a super human effort and I hit a tree at the trunk area. Dogg had finished the other 5 Zombies and while I lay there dying :), Dogg attacked the Super Zombie…

Then I saw the Zombie smack Wolf/Dogg against a building and Dogg disappeared through the wall. Bricks tumbled to the ground and buried Dogg..

The Zombie turned back toward me as I looked at the crumbling building that Dogg was buried under. I grabbed two more wooden stakes and motioned for the Vampire Zombie to come on and lets rumble. He screamed and charged at me. I dived and drove a stake into his side as he went by me. He slammed into the same tree that I was tossed against and he tore the tree out of the ground as he went to the ground, tree and all…

Then I heard a sound behind me and the building that Dogg was thrown into. Became a rumbling explosion. Out stepped Bear/Dogg and he was in a bad mood…

He roared as the building finished crumbling to the ground behind him and charged at the Zombie on the ground. The Zombie was still fast and he got to his feet to meet the attack, but Bear/Dogg was a seasoned veteran of killing big bad evil Zombies and this Zombie had no chance. I remember seeing the Zombie lift off the ground about 12 feet in the air and was slammed head first into the pavement of the square. I remember seeing a huge hole where he was smashed. Dogg/Bear tore him limb from limb and still the Vampire Zombie still fought on. The arms ripped off the huge Zombie hung on to bear and and the legs kept kicking after they were torn off. The thing would keep trying to bite Bear/Dogg and then I saw what I have not seen for years. The Zombie was trying to reattach limbs to its torso…

I took my wooden stake and ran toward them and yelled at Dogg. He ceased moving and held the body of the Zombie on the ground. I drove the point of the stake in my hands into its eye and pushed it into the brain. That did the trick and all his ripped off body parts stopped moving and he died…

Bear/Dogg then finished ripping its head of with a grunt of power and took the head to play with. Who was I to argue, Bear/Dogg is a lot bigger than me…

So now we are back at the airstrip and getting the Cessna ready to travel the rest of the way to Denver. Ralph was very scared to meet me after the battle we had. He knew he had forgotten to mention something important and that was that there was a huge bad ass Zombie Vampire. But I did not care and they cleaned the town up and it all looked good as new. All the Zombies stayed way away from us and we did what we wanted and I gathered more items that we could need. I know that I am keeping this auto shotgun I found and we packed a couple of case of 12 gauge buckshot on board the Cessna. I also tossed a few wooden stakes into the pile of new stuff. You never know…

I also have to search for another sword! It was destroyed by the fight. It was my blessed sword and that might not be good in the long run. But hey – oh well. I grabbed a Katana blade from the local pawn shop and it feels really good. Something was pulling me toward it and it looks like it might do some damage. maybe I will keep it…

The town almost seemed happy and for being a Zombie town in Kansas it was rather quaint. It made me wonder how my Zombie family was doing back at the prison town…

I will write again as soon as I can as we are taking off anytime. Lets hope that Denver does not have any surprises like we just found…

Oh by the way! I studied the huge Zombie and I really think that this was a demigod Zombie. It was one of the demigods that changed. Maybe he came back to earth or something, I do not know and lets hope that there are not more of them. The next one may be smarter and faster and stronger…
